Fishing:

Canyon Ferry: Ice is about 20+” south of silos. The trout bite is good. Try fishing in about 15 FOW with the usual rigs—jigging spoons tipped with crawlers, maggots, or even corn. The trout are plentiful right now. For Walleye/Perch try throwing pink Swedish pimples tipped with Maggots or meal worms in 30-45 FOW are the ticket right now; jigging spoons of the bottom is also working pretty well. Don’t hesitate to try different depths lots of guys are starting deep and adjusting from there.

Hauser: Black Sandy is fishable with about 15-20” of ice right now and guys have been hooking up with Walleye and Perch. For guys looking for the Perch try fishing out from the campground in about 40-50 FOW or near White Sandy as well. If you’re after some trout lay lines about 10’ below the ice. We’d recommend some blue Swedish Pimples or a red slender spoon tipped with night crawlers or a maggot about 10’ and chasing it up. Ling is also starting to pick-up and guys are catching smaller Ling about 14-18” on average.

Holter: Ice is at about 15-18 inches or so and the perch bite is great. Some reports of great perch fishing across from Log Gulch. Most guys are fishing deep at least 40 FOW up to 60 FOW jigging a 1-2 feet off the bottom.
