It’s a Long Way to the Top (Brett French Radio Show Preview)
Four-hundred feet doesn’t seem far. But if that’s an elevation it is 40 stories. Try climbing that height 30 times in five hours, skiing down after reaching the top each time, and you’ll have an idea of how hard it was for the male winner of the King and Queen of the Ridge competition at Bridger Bowl Ski Area last Saturday. It’s a grueling way to raise money for the Gallatin National Forest Avalanche Center, which does great work forecasting and educating people about avy dangers in southwest Montana.
