Anaconda deserves serious consideration for a fun winter get-away. Last weekend we soaked at Fairmont Hot Springs Resort, drove in to Anaconda for a great Italian dinner at a tiny restaurant named La Casa Toscana, sacked out at the Marcus Daly Motel which has a stay and ski package, then explored Discovery Ski Area 30 minutes outside of town. I’m not sure if it was the cold weather or the fact that Bridger Bowl had 4 to 6 feet of fresh powder, but the lift lines at Discovery on Sunday were nonexistent. That was great because I hate lift lines with a passion.
