Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) will host a Volunteer Open House at Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park on Sunday, March 19th from 1pm to 3pm.

Join us at Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park to learn about the various volunteer opportunities available at the park such as visitor center assistants or cave sweepers on the Wild Cave Tours. Presenters from Northern Rocky Mountain Grotto, Friends of Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park, and Montana State Parks AmeriCorps will be on hand to discuss what their organizations have done for the park in the past as well as future volunteering options.

Following the presentation, enjoy a guided hike along the park’s upper Nature Loop led by Ken Soderberg to discuss some of the park’s notable Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) contributions. This hike follows a relatively narrow path with steep grade in some places. Depending on the weather there may still be snow on the trail, so guests are reminded to dress accordingly.
