Bow Hunter Finds Spring Bear Success
By Toby Trigger

Until recently Thad Lucas had yet to find success with his bow on any big game animal.

That all changed with a well placed arrow from his bow while on his first day hunting bears in Idaho.  Bear densities in some parts of Idaho are exceptional as Thad quickly found out.  The arrow hit just behind the front shoulder and the bear ran just a few yards before rolling over.  Many hours of practice over several weeks culminated in a 15 yard shot.

Congrats on a job well done Thad!
