(KALISPELL, Mont.) Students must be at least 10 years old to register for a hunter education class; there is no maximum age limit. Any person born after January 1, 1985, must show a certificate of completing a hunter education course to purchase a hunting license in Montana. Classes are free of charge and registration starts for some locations as early as 8/23/2017.
