The Pintler Ranger District will be temporarily closing Douglas Creek Road (RD 707) to conduct road repair work.

The road will be temporarily closed August 11th-17th to replace a culvert and complete other surface repair work.

Travelers will be able to access RD 707 from Hall and Jens but will not be able to travel through the work area. The work will occur between the Douglas Creek Cabin (beginning approximately one mile above the cabin) and Dunkleberg Ridge at the intersection of RD 707 and RD 78549. This will affect one and a half miles of road.

Visitors are asked to find alternative routes to travel during this time and to drive carefully on all backcountry roads. For more information contact the Pintler Ranger District in Philipsburg at (406) 859-3211.
