Students must be at least 10 years old to register for a hunter education class; there is no maximum age limit. Any person born after January 1, 1985, must show a certificate of completing a hunter education course to purchase a hunting license in Montana. Classes are free of charge. ALL Students must register online for all hunter education courses. When registering, please take note of specific information and requirements for the course, which is included in the online posting. Orientation for the Kalispell class that is taught at Flathead High School will be on Monday, September 11th at: FWP, 490 N. Meridian Rd., Kalispell Your attendance is required anytime between 4 pm – 8pm.
Classes for other communities are posted. New classes will be posted as they are arranged, so remember to check FWP’s website at fwp.mt.gov under Hunter Education for timely updates.
