Someone who tried to help a bear that hit by a car north of Polson had quite the bumpy ride this week. According to a report in the Missoulian the bear was taken by car to the CSKT tribal complex by someone who thought it was nearly dead.
Once the vehicle arrived at the complex to wait for a responding game officer, the bear apparently miraculously recovered and stood up in the back of the truck.
It was shot and killed by an officer who deemed that the wounded bear roaming in the crowded area would not be good.
