Black Bear Hunting To End In Unit 700

Black bear hunting is set to end one half hour after sunset Wednesday in bear management unit 700.

Hunters reported eight harvested bears in the unit, meeting the quota for the season. The management unit includes areas of Bighorn, Carter, Custer, Dawson, Fallon, Garfield, McCone, Musselshell, Powder River, Prairie, Richland, Rosebud, Treasure, Yellowstone and Wibaux counties, according to a Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks news release.
