FWP Looking for Tips on Moose Poached Near De Borgia

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP) is seeking information about a moose that was discovered October 20 near Up Up Mountain on USFS Road 1101, south of De Borgia.

FWP Game Warden, Tyler Ramaker, said the moose was shot from the road. The entire carcass was taken up to the road and loaded into a vehicle. Only a gut pile remained at the scene.

Wardens are investigating evidence found at the scene and are looking for help from anyone that might have information on this incident Anyone with information is encouraged to call 1-800-TIP-MONT (1-800-847-6668).  Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to a conviction.
