Wolf hunting and trapping ends Wednesday night in Wolf Management Unit 316 one half hour after sunset. The hunting area includes portions of Carbon, Sweet Grass and Park Counties.

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks ended the wolf harvest in the unit after its quota was met. Only two wolves are allowed to be taken in that area each year. WMU 316 is the first unit to close this year.

The wolf harvest quota status is available here.
