Novembers: BEST OF Captain’s Column

November this year is way different from November last year, as the Captain said that last year, he would’ve thought it was September if he didn’t know it was November!  Some western Montana areas got snow on November 1st, while other places are gearing up for it.  In last year’s Captain’s Column around this time, the Captain was reading off summaries of check station numbers, and there was one main statement:

Colder temperatures and snow on the ground will have the elk on the move and hunters tracking them in the hope of filling their freezers.
