The Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission will present a proposed strategy to deal with the threat of chronic wasting disease to the state’s wildlife.

The commission will be meet at 2:30 p.m. at FWP’s Helena headquarters. After the presentation, the CWD plan will be available for the public to review and provide feedback, Montana Untamed reported.

Chronic wasting disease has not been identified in Montana but infected animals have been identified close to the state borders. FWP ramped up identification efforts this hunting season with samples taken from deer at check stations.
