According to CBS 4 in Denver, “an online petition started by a woman who lives in the United Kingdom had so far gathered nearly 82,000 signatures,” to ban the practice of mutton bustin’ at the National Western Stock Show.
“The entire Western Stock Show is a very violent event,” said Aidan Cook, an activist with Direct Action Everywhere, an animal rights group.

This case is concerning because it seems that more and more foreign and out of area “animal rights activists” are complaining about more and more benign things. This year PETA wrote a letter, upset that the Billings Police Department had handed out turkeys.
