Bison Harvest Surpasses 70 Animals

This year’s bison harvest has surpassed 70 animals, according to a report by the Billings Gazette.

More than two weeks remain in the season with the final day of the hunt on Feb. 15. According to the Gazette, 59 of the bison were harvested near West Yellowstone and the remainder were taken by Gardiner.

About 1,200 bison were culled by Yellowstone National Park. The park herd sits at about 5,400 animals.
