The former chairman for the Montana State Parks and Recreation Board has been given a new task. After being dismissed from the board by Gov. Steve Bullock, Tom Towe was appointed as a special liaison to Fish, Wildlife & Parks director Martha Williams on the Hell Creek State Park issue. Towe has advocated for keeping the park under the state’s management, even though the board endorsed leaving the site in 2021.
