State parks board to meet at Traveler’s Rest

(Lolo, MT) – Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) announced today that the Montana State Parks & Recreation Board will hold a meeting on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 10am at Travelers’ Rest State Park. The park is located at 6717 Hwy 12 W in Lolo, MT.

The Parks Board will take action on 2020/21 Budget Priorities, Forest Management Plan, Land Exchange to increase Lake Mary Ronan State Park, and landowner relationship/public access opportunities at Fort Owen State Park. Informational updates will be heard on the Montana State Parks Foundation, Parks in Focus, Heritage Resource Biennial Report, Holt Property adjacent to Travelers’ Rest State Park, and the proposed Bonner Development Group property donation at Milltown State Park.

There will also be an announcement of the 2017 Volunteer of the Year. The day will conclude with a field trip to Fort Owen state Park in Stevensville, MT.

The public is invited to attend this meeting. Public comment for items not on the agenda is scheduled for 2:35pm. The Board may take action on all matters specifically noted on this agenda.
