Last June on Yellowstone Lake a kayaking guide drowned while leading clients on a short tour. Reports filed by the investigating rangers have been released, and they detail a tragic series of events as one incident led to several problems. What’s more, the investigation found that at least one of the guides had very little training. The same company has applied for a permit to operate in the park again this year. The Park Service is reviewing the permit and its requirements but has not yet made a decision.

To learn more about this tragic event and what went wrong, read my story at Montana Untamed. http://montanauntamed.com/get-outside/article_0067bb86-12a9-55ef-98bd-ba2da6057b63.html
