The Tally Lake Ranger District of the Flathead National Forest is preparing to replace and upgrade the boat ramp at Ashley Lake. The project is located on the north side of Ashley Lake, west of Kalispell, Montana.

The project will replace the old, broken boat ramp with a new ramp that will accommodate larger vehicles and boats and will extend further into the lake to make launching and removing boats easier.

Construction and installation is scheduled to begin May 14, and should be completed prior to Memorial Day.  During construction activity the boat launch, picnic area and swim beach will be closed to public access.  As it is the only public boat launch on the lake, please make plans accordingly.

Please be vigilant in preventing the introduction or spread of aquatic invasive species in Montana waters.  For more information go to https://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/flathead/recreation/?cid=FSEPRD579278

If you have questions about this project, please contact Hans Castren, Recreation Manager, at the Tally Lake Ranger District, (406) 758-5204.
