The Lower Madison is getting tougher by the day. Flows came up agin this morning and are now at 5,710cfs. Apparently visibility went down from yesterday.  Northwestern Energy is currently flushing the river to remove sediment build up. This is going to start at Hebgen Dam but the more water they let down the upper means Ennis Dam won’t be far behind. It’s going to be a gradual rise but look for flows to peak around the 27th of May according to Northwestern Energy. If you decide to give it a go your best bet willl be to nymph bigger buggers and Zonkers followed by a worm or some sort of soft hackle. Streamer fishing has been back and forth from the reports we have had.  Smaller dark colors have been moving the most fish. Keep an eye of the river graphs and our fishing reports for the latest.
