Jon’s Gulch Wildflower Walk Set for Saturday June 16

Flowers are blooming up at Thompson Park!  Come join the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest on Saturday, June 16 for a walk through the woods, exploring the colorful flowers of the area.

This family friendly event is free to all and designed for those interested in learning more about the local flora.  The hike will begin at 9:30 a.m.at Sagebrush Flats in Thompson Park and participants will hike approximately two miles of Jon’s Gulch trail.

Those interested should come dressed for inclement weather and bring a snack, water, rain gear, sunscreen and a camera.  A wildflower field guide and magnifying hand lens is also encouraged, but they will be available to share on the tour.
