Student volunteers removed no trespassing signs at the Holland Lake project site in the Swan Valley as public access went into effect thanks to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.

The 640 acre parcel between the Bob Marshall Wilderness and Mission Mountain Wilderness was conveyed to the Flathead National Forest by RMEF last year.

Students from Michigan, Montana, New York and Wisconsin removed the “No Trespassing” signs while visiting the site as part of the Swan Valley Connection Summer School. The sign will be replaced with one informing visitors access to the parcel of land was made possible by the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
