Grizzly Hackle gave the Blackfoot River a 4/5 to fish on the 2nd, and here is where that rating came from:

The Blackfoot continues to come into shape and the fishing is getting better and better.  Salmonflies are about done with a few here and there up in the Canyon.  Golden’s, PMD’s, Green Drakes, Caddis and Yellow Sallies are all out.  Bright sunny days have been tough dry fly fishing, but you can still get a few if you stick with it.  Rogues Golden’s, Golden GH Water Walkers, Chubby’s, Carnage Golden’s, PMD Tilt Wing Duns, Extended Body PMD’s, Lazer Pointe Drakes, Neversink Drakes, P-Hazes and P-Adams.  Nymphing has been good with Double Bead Stones, Nemec Stones, D-Rib Stones, 20 Inchers, Zirdles, Zonkers, Bling Minnows, San Juans and Jig PT’s.
