The Captain and Hookem Harry are predicting that the winning team of the 2018 Montana Governor’s Cup will have a two day total of 70-72 lbs.  The duo have been reeling in the walleyes this week at Fort Peck and have brought in some nice ones–click here for pictures.  The Captain and Hookem Harry will not be competing this year, but their excitement is building the closer it gets to the start of the tourney.  Make sure you tune in to the Montana Outdoor Radio Show this Saturday from 6am – 8am for a LIVE broadcast from Fort Peck–smack dab in the middle of the Montana Governor’s Cup fishing tournament!

In comparison to the prediction of the Captain and Hookem Harry, going way back, the 2013 Montana Governor’s Cup resulted in the first place winners of Mike and Sheryl Johnson bringing in 43.64 pounds, winning $8500.  Last year, the 2017 Montana Governor’s Cup included first place winners included the team of  Sam Lawson & Clay Kittleson, bringing in 52.84 lbs. and winning$15,000.  Over the years, the total pounds are increasing for the first place winners, and that could mean the final prediction of 70-72 pounds very well could happen!
