Elk Ecology Presentation at Salmon Lake State Park

Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) will host “Elk Ecology” with Scott Eggeman at Salmon Lake State Park on Saturday, August 11 at 7pm.

Join Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Wildlife Biologist, Scott Eggeman for a campfire program on Elk Ecology. Scott works in the Blackfoot Watershed and manages habitats for four Wildlife Management Areas, resolves wildlife conflict issues, and carries out land conservation projects. He’s responsible for elk and deer management, and well as black bear, mountain lion, and furbearer harvest management. He has also completed elk research in beautiful Banff National Park, in Alberta, Canada. Scott will discuss elk ecology in the Blackfoot Watershed and share his experiences with the local Elk Management Program.

The presentation will be held at the campground at the picnic tables located behind the camp host booth. Campfire programs are FREE and open to the public. For more information, call Cassie Corridoni at (406) 677-6804.
