Fishing:

Cooler temperatures this past week has decreased surface bug activity on the streams in SW Montana & reservoirs. Streamer fishing has been good & nymph fishing has been improving. The Big Hole has been good fishing this week. Pheasant tails, san juan worms, & bubble back nymphs fished on dropper have been a good bet. Black & yellow or black & white sex dungeons, sparkle minnows, & jj special have been fishing well.

The Beaverhead is still fishing well with rising water levels. Brown bear black nymphs, scuds, & lightning bugs have been producing below the surface. Wooley buggers & minnow imitations are excellent choices for streamers. Bank fishing has been good at Clark Canyon Reservoir, Georgetown Lake, & the Ruby Reservoir. Night crawlers harnesses coupled with marshmallows are working well, sucker meat, or carp strips are also providing trout & walleys.
