Canyon Ferry:  Fishing has been slow throughout the reservoir as winter starts to grip the region.  Rainbow trout, yellow perch, and walleye fishing can be good this time of year and one can have the whole reservoir to themselves as most angler’s trade their rods for rifles and head out hunting.  Trolling cowbells for rainbows and worm harnesses for walleye this time of year yields the best results.  FWP’s summer fishing report for Canyon Ferry, Hauser, and Holter Reservoir’s will conclude at the end of October.  Adam Strainer, FWP, Helena

Hauser:  Rainbows are being caught while trolling cowbells around White Sandy and the Causeway.  A few rainbows are also being caught from shore at the Causeway Bridge and below Canyon Ferry Dam on worms.   A few walleye are being caught below Canyon Ferry Dam and in the Causeway on jigs with a worm.  Troy Humphrey, FWP, Helena

Holter:  Rainbow fishing is good while trolling cowbells in the lower reservoir from Split Rock to the dam.  Rainbows are being caught from shore at Gates of the Mountains while using worms or Power Bait. Perch fishing has slowed down with a few being caught around Cottonwood Creek and the clay banks while using jigs and worms in 25 to 35 feet of water.  Walleye fishing is slow. Troy Humphrey, FWP, Helena
