Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks (FWP) is seeking information on two elk that were poached early this week approximately seven miles west of Drummond along the frontage road.
FWP game warden, Brad Balis, said the poaching occurred sometime between the afternoon of Sunday, November 4 and the morning of Nov. 5. The violator(s) went through a closed gate onto private property and then drove across a hayfield where the elk were field dressed and then removed from the area.
Anyone with information regarding the poaching is encouraged to contact FWP Warden Balis at (406) 210-9049 or 1-800-TIP-MONT (1-800-847-6668). Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to a conviction.
