Lance Jones, of Montana’s beautiful Bitterroot valley, recently tagged a nice mountain whitetail buck!
He and two buddies ended up glassing a ridge from the Bitterroots over to the Sapphires and spotted him there. Jones was surprised the buck stayed on that same ridge when they arrived. He got a good 543-yard shot at him, and now his freezer will be full!
Excellent work, Lance!
Ps- before somebody is “offended” by his ability to make a good shot like that, please make sure you remember we all have our own comfortable shooting distances, and we, as fellow sportsmen, should be happy for another hunter that found success after hunting this buck and catching up to it.
