The Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks (FWP) Region 2 Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) will meet Thursday, April 18 at the Montana Natural History Center (120 Hickory Street) beginning at 6 p.m.

The 22-member CAC meets quarterly to discuss a variety of fish, wildlife, natural resource and outdoor recreation issues in west-central Montana. CAC members serve four-year terms and represent a variety of west-central Montana communities and interests.

At this meeting, CAC members will be leading a discussion about landowner, sportsperson and FWP relations, prompted in part by a recent proposed grazing plan for a portion of Spotted Dog Wildlife Management Area that was out for public comment last month.

The CAC is not a decision making body, but serves as a forum for FWP and CAC members to learn from their conversations and perspectives.

FWP has CACs in every region of the state, and all meetings are open to the public. FWP Region 2 will be recruiting for new CAC members in June. Visit fwp.mt.gov/regions/r2/cac/for more details or call FWP at (406) 542-5500.
