Many Montanans may not know it, but Montana State University Billings has the state’s only Outdoor Adventure Leadership program. Students can earn a degree while learning more about outdoor businesses, group leadership and communication skills while also getting instruction on rock climbing, whitewater rescue and fly-fishing, to name a few. With the outdoor industry generating more than $7 billion in the state, it only makes sense to focus on training folks for that work.

To learn more about the program, and the growing competition nationwide to attract students, check out my story in the Billings Gazette newspaper at https://billingsgazette.com/outdoors/montana-state-university-billings-nurtures-outdoor-leadership-program/article_7b52bf65-22b4-5484-8031-0ace4dff4406.html.
