The Captain of the of the Montana Outdoor Radio Show went beyond the border of Montana and fished Sakakawea Reservoir in North Dakota this last Sunday through Tuesday. He was accompanied by Ted Toavs and Bill Zahradka from Wolf Point. The walleye bite on this huge reservoir was excellent before they arrived. Sunday afternoon, the bite slowed way down, the first afternoon that they fished.

It continued that way the next day with some of the local anglers complaining about how it was very slow, compared to just a few days before when they would catch their limit in less than an hour or two.

The trio from Montana fished hard and ended up with 20 nice 20-27 inch walleyes for their effort. The Captain said they had a great time and that fishing this new body of water, to him anyway, was a lot of fun.
