Hobson, MT) – Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) is seeking public comment on a draft Environmental Assessment (EA) for a proposed campground addition at Ackley Lake State Park near Hobson, MT. Comments will be accepted through Monday, August 19, 2019 at 5pm.

The proposed project would expand capacity at the park by adding eight new picnic tables and fire rings to the campground located at Ackley Lake State Park. The current campground has an insufficient number of designated sites to accommodate campers during peak season.

This proposal is a collaborative project between MSP and the Ackley Lake Club to enhance amenities at the Park. The addition of 8 new sites would increase visitor satisfaction as well as revenue potential for the park in the future. The park’s current budget does not allow for any additional expenses above and beyond routine maintenance needs.
