Deadeye Denny of MORS and Neal Cote from Bob Ward’s Sports and Outdoors joined The Captain from MORS on Monday for a day of whitefishing on Flathead Lake. It was slower than they expected, as they only caught around 20 whitefish for the day. They hit all the normal spots in Big Arm and Elmo but probably had the best luck in Elmo. There were a few boats on the water with some boats doing better than others.
They found the fish in 40-45 feet of water. They had the best results with the green rattle d zastor lure from Zimmer Tackle that was tipped with maggots. You, of course, can get lures and maggots at Bob Ward’s Sports and Outdoors right there in Missoula.
