Expect another good week for fishing conditions with cooler temps at night and warm days. Get out there and enjoy the best days of summer and remember to limit your catch.

Ashley Lake
Salmon bite ahs been good early mornings and slows after noon. Look for large schools and use a pink #4 Swedish Pimple and a #10 Rat Finke tipped with maggots for best results.
Beaver Lake
Reports of a few decent Salmon being caught trolling with a dodger and a pink Wedding Ring. No reports of Rainbows this week.
Church Slough
Numerous medium sized Perch are being caught using Pete’s Crappie Candy and big eye spinner. Pike action has slowed so be prepared to cover a lot of water.
Echo Lake
Bass fishing has been great at night. Black is the best color to use for any lure. Be sure you have the proper navigation lights on and working.
Fennon Slough
Lots of Perch action. Use a Northland Forage Jig tipped with maggots. Look for small openings in thick weed beds. Northerns will be in the same general area. Cast Husky Jerks over weed beds and reel in using sporadic jigging actions.
Flathead Lake
Another great week for Whitefish. The best depth is 50-55ft of water. Smaller fish will be shallower in 30-35ft of water. Jig Trick Tackle right off the bottom above the carpet weeds. Good spots are South end of Delta, Elmo/Big Arm and Woods Bay point.
Flathead River
As water levels slowly lower, use caution when floating. Great Cutthroat action on all 3 branches either fly fishing or spin cast. Hot lures are Panther Martin Yellow/Red dot spinner and a silver Super Duper. Hot flies are Purple Caubbies, Fat Albert and Blonde Caddis.
Foys Lake
Try trolling slow in the morning with Cow Bells and a Wedding Ring for Salmon. Good Rainbow fishing from shore using a rainbow-colored DareDevil or Kastmaster in chrome.Koocanusa
Look for Salmon staging for the spawn in some of the bays. The best option is jigging with a Hali tipped with maggots.Lake Mary Ronan
Great place for the family to catch Perch. Jig a Forage spoon in 15-22ft of water and use leeches or maggots. Salmon bite has been decent for some trolling with a dodger and Wedding Rings.

Little Bitterroot
Good Smallmouth Bass action on the North & South ends. Use plastic craws on a Ned Rig jig head. The bigger Salmon have gone to deep water. Lots of smaller Salmon caught about 20ft below the surface.

Thompson Chain
Good Perch fishing on both lower and middle. Cast and retrieve Strike King Bitsy Bite Crawdads on small jig. Nice Northerns but still slow. Use a Northland Reed Runner and add paddle tail for extra action.

Smith Lake
Great action for smaller Pike. Use a black and orange spinner bait for best results. Also try a Berkley Choppo early in the day for top water action.
