YELLOWSTONE LAKE FIRE!!!

A fire is burning on the east side of Yellowstone Lake. Currently the fire is about 80 acres. The Park Service is rerouting hikers away from the area.
Th fire was detected on Thursday afternoon; and was caused by lightening. The fire is burning up aspen and spruce/ fir trees.

The Park Service is monitoring the fire.

Smoke is hampering Fishing Bridge, Lake Village, and the east entrance road. The park’s fire danger is HIGH!!! Currently there are no fire restrictions. This Brimstone Fire has the highest concern for the Park.

Currently, the Park Service is allowing the fire to take its course.

This is the biggest fire in Yellowstone Park this season.
