Getting to the high peak that provides snow melt to the headwaters of the Yellowstone River was no easy task for Billings pastor Vern Streeter. At first he thought he could backpack into the Wyoming wilderness to reach Yount’s Peak. But he eventually decided it was too far, so he enlisted friends to horsepack him and a video crew in. The trip travels through steep, rocky country known as prime bear habitat.
To find out why Streeter set his sights on the peak and how the trip went, check out my story in the Billings Gazette: https://billingsgazette.com/news/state-and-regional/billings-pastor-camera-crew-wranglers-climb-to-summit-for-sermon/article_05f16c52-9a04-59af-a6a1-a6fd8c4bb5db.html
