You never know what kind of unusual wildlife encounter you might see while wandering in the woods. A case in point took place in Yellowstone National Park when wildlife videographer Judy Lehmberg and her husband were watching a group of ruddy ducks at a pond. When a young black bear appeared a protective sandhill crane papa risked injury to shoo the bashful bear away from the baby. Sandhill crane chicks are called colts.
