Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) will hold a public meeting to gauge interest in the formation of a friends group to support Lost Creek State Park on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 6:30 pm. The meeting will be held at the Hearst Free Library located at 401 Main St. in Anaconda, MT.

Lost Creek State Park, situated just 20 minutes outside of Anaconda, offers a unique get-away for visitors. This hidden gem surrounded by towering limestone walls features a quaint rustic campground and a beautiful waterfall. Montana State Parks is assessing current park conditions and gauging local interest in expanding outdoor recreation opportunities at Lost Creek such as new trails, rock climbing, campground and other site improvement or preservation.

Stakeholders who have an interest in one or more of these areas are encouraged to attend. A friends group would allow community members to raise funds, host events, and work with the park to accomplish projects that serve visitor needs.

For more information call Tom Forwood Jr, Lost Creek State Park Manager, at (406) 287-3541.
