Fishing Report + Rating

4/5

Rock Creek is fishing great and the leaves are starting to turn making for some great scenery too.  BWO’s and October Caddis are the main bugs still hatching right now.  Sz 10-12 October Caddis like a Orange Stimi along with their nymphs are a good bet.  Sz 18-20 BWO’s are out in the afternoons especially on the cloudy days.  Extended Bodies, Comparaduns, Sparkle Duns, P-Hazes and Para-Wulffs.  Whitefish are starting to spawn so eggs in Orange or Pink fished behind the riffles.  Other nymphs like Perdigons, Jig PTs, Pyscho Mays, DDT’s, Rubberlegs and San Juans are great options when the fish aren’t rising.  Streamer fishing will be good for the next month and if you’re looking to catch bigger fish this is the way to go.  Yellow/Brown and Olive/Gold streamers are good colors this time of year.
