It seems like every year Montanans are finding something new to worry about when it comes to threats to our wildlife. We’ve confronted the problems of brucellosis, brain worms in moose, plague in prairie dogs, chronic wasting disease and feral hogs at the Canadian border. Now comes the possibility of bovine tuberculosis. No, it hasn’t been documented here recently, but Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is being proactive and developing a plan to deal with the issue if it does show up again. Right now the agency is taking public comment on that plan. To learn more about bovine TB, and the threats it poses, check out my story in the Billings Gazette. https://billingsgazette.com/lifestyles/recreation/fwp-begins-crafting-plan-to-deal-with-bovine-tuberculosis-outbreak/article_f4cad519-99d5-59bc-9129-c15fbc632f82.html
