Montana game wardens are investigating a bull elk that was shot and found dead south of Columbia Falls between Montana Highway 206 and the Flathead River. The animal was found dead in a field northwest of Sullivan Crossroad and Middle Road. The animal was believed to be killed the night of Nov. 18 or the morning of Nov. 19.
