Be creative with your holiday decorations. You already have boats, RV; s, wheelers, snowmobiles and other gear ready to deck the halls, and front yards. Put a Santa at the wheel or helm, add some colored lights, and you are now original and in the holiday spirit.
In my neighborhood, the covenants are strict. Once the holiday season arrives, the outlawed boats and outdoor rigs can be in the front yard if they become props for holiday decorations! Convoys of holiday light spectators will enjoy your creativity and holiday spirit.
I used the “Ripple Runner”, my 17-foot Grumman Canoe as Santa’s sled. The reindeer is driving the boat while Santa hooks into a Big Multicolored Trout. The flashing lights create some movement and the snow highlights the area. Bigger boats can be used with similar results. To make a bigger impression of water, try using a motion light to add some movement of water like patterns.
Decorations can be about having fun while celebrating the holiday.
