After the Pandemic! (by Montana Grant)

Fishermen need to get ready for some great fishing! I know, some of you would rather complain about the cup being half full, politicians screwing you, and hardships of not working… I am just saying that there is a light at the end of this tunnel.

I have had some readers complaining about fishing accesses being crowded by locals!? Honestly, the locals need to be on the river social distancing and staying healthy. I have not seen that but, that will change when we can go back to work.

The runoff should be gradual, the Salmon fly Hatch should be great, and rivers should be less crowded. Trout shops have been complaining that reservations are down and canceled. Most folks that have been furloughed or laid off will go back to work to make up for lost time. For the fishermen that can still fish, hang on!

Retired guys and Gals will benefit from this year’s pandemic. We were the most vulnerable so now we can recover quickly and completely on the rivers and lakes of our healthy waters. We will have survived dying and now need to recuperate with a fishing rod in hand.

Get your gear ready and start planning for some great fishing soon!
