RV parks are trying to get “essential status” to help out travelers on the road. This became especially important last week when Canada announced it would close its border with the United States. That sent thousands of “snow birds” rushing north at a time when many RV parks up here aren’t operating yet. Kampgrounds of America (KOA) is based in Billings. It has been working to keep its facilities in the South open for these reasons. Meanwhile, KOA campgrounds in Montana are just hoping things get better by June.
