Reopening Yellowstone National Park isn’t going to happen anytime soon, Superintendent Cam Sholly said Tuesday. He’s waiting for a consensus from surrounding states, counties and communities before he takes that step. In the meantime park staff has been trying to figure out what reopening in the age of COVID-19 might look like. A lot of questions remain, such as how many tourists will visit and how many services should be provided in the park? The agency has already determined to house its seasonal staff in separate rooms, which means it may only hire about half as many this summer.
