Fish and Wildlife Commission to meet April 23 via Zoom

The Montana Fish & Wildlife Commission will meet April 23 using the video conferencing platform Zoom. Details on how to access the meeting will be posted on fwp.mt.gov closer to the meeting date. The meeting will also be audio streamed online at fwp.mt.gov. The meeting begins at 8:30 a.m.

The commission will make final decisions on the following topics:

  • Ennis FAS Temporary Closure
  • Mallards Rest FAS Temporary Closure
  • Glendive Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture Paddlefish Grant Committee
  • Peregrine Take
  • Mount Haggin WMA Grassy Mountain Addition
  • Woods Ranch WMA Blowdown Salvage Project
  • Blackleaf Grazing Lease
  • Isaac Homstead Farming Lease
  • Amelia Island Farming Lease

The commission will make final decisions and take public comment on the following topics:

  • Big Arm Acquisition
  • Lion Quotas, Proposed
  • Surplus Sale of Special Mountain Lion Licenses
  • Nonresident Hound Handler Permits (For Hunting Lions)
  • CWD Plan Review and Proposed Changes

The commission will hear the following presentations and proposals:

  • Woods Ranch WMA Timber Salvage (R1)
  • 2020-2021 Wolf Hunting Season, HD Boundaries, Quotas

The commission will also look at endorsing the following:

  • Confederated Salish And Kootenai Tribes Upland and Migratory Bird Regulations
  • Elk Plan Process
