Livingston’s Dan Bailey’s Fly Shop has received a new lease on life. The historic business was recently purchased and is being transformed to include gear for other outdoor pursuits while keeping ties to the original enterprise. Dan Bailey founded the business in 1938. The shop became an institution in the 1950s as Bailey’s popularity as a fly tyer grew. His son, John, carried the shop into a new era when he helped with casting instruction on the movie “A River Runs Through It.” That movie launched a rush of new fly-fishing devotees. To learn more about the shop’s history, and plans for the future, check out my story online. https://billingsgazette.com/outdoors/
