When Montana get s dumped with winter snow, it is time to turn lemons into lemonade!
Here is a quick recipe that is fun and tasty for all Montana Campers and families!
You will need:
1 cup of milk
1/3 cup of sugar
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1 pinch of salt
8 cups, or so, of clean, fresh Montana snow. This will vary based on if the snow is heavy and wet or dry and fluffy.
Sprinkles, or…
Whisk all the ingredients together in a bowl. Place into the freezer, or snowbank, until you gather up your snow. Remember not to get the Yellow snow where the Huskies go. Look for clean snow in open spaces, you don’t want snow under roof edges, plowed snow, snow over the manure pile, etc. Get clean, fresh white, snow!
Mix all the ingredients together until they are fluffy and scoopable. Use an ice cream scooper to plop into a bowl or cone. Now add some candy sprinkles, just because.
Snow cream melts fast so serve immediately and enjoy!
